If you’re looking for Linux server support or general Linux help, where do you go? So many cryptic and unhelpful guides on the web. They don’t quite fit your scenario, and even if they do, the steps to resolution don’t work! Why not look at taking a Linux training course, there are plenty out there, and pick up some of the basics. Better still, why not just grab a copy of Debian or Ubuntu, install it on an unused PC or laptop, and begin working with it? Although the command line might seem difficult to work with and far from the point and click interface that you might be useful, you’ll reap the rewards in the long run. Being able to manage and maintain your own Linux system is a seriously powerful ability to have. Linux is free, and it’s open source. The only downside? Getting up and running and getting support.

As a newbie, you’ll find that when things go wrong in Linux, it might take hours to days to figure out and resolve the issue. The benefit here, is that you will have learned a wealth of information about Linux, software, and your PC. If you like this idea – go and get Linux.

If you don’t have a PC that you want to install Linux on full time, go and search for LINUX LIVE CD – this is a boot CD version of Linux. It boots straight up and runs from CD. You don’t have to install anything to hard disk that you don’t want to. Should you like what you see, you can choose to install to disk at any time.

Welcome to the Linux Learning Zone! We offer one key service here – interactive courses with all the tools you need to learn Linux.

Let’s start with what we DON’T do! We hate powerpoint slides and large documents. I didn’t learn Linux from powerpoint slides, and nor did anyone else.

So, what do we do? One to one training, screen sharing, live interactive training labs and servers, and video/voice conferencing. What do we also do? We guarantee fast response times to questions, and the highest level of training and support.

Your training package is 100% bespoke, tailored to fit around you and your schedule. We do not have fixed pricing and contract periods, you can pause and resume your training at your convenience. As you progress, you may direct your study with us towards any specific area of Linux that you wish.

Nowadays, most computers and laptops run on Windows, a Microsoft-based operating system. However, Linux can be found on many servers and desktops and is commonly used by programmers creating websites and web pages. Linux is a Unix based computer operating system. It is not an easy operating system to learn, however once you have grasped the concept then it should be simple.
A Linux consultant will tell you that Linux can be the perfect solution for individuals who are planning to learn more about their PCs, get more performance out of their servers, or avoid paying for an operating system.
If you are worried about using Linux on your regular laptop or computer as you have windows already on it, then you are worrying about nothing. It is possible to dedicate part of your hard drive to Linux meaning that you do not need to get rid of any existing operating system that may be on your computer or laptop.

Normally, Linux comes in a form known as a ‘Linux distribution’ which is applicable for desktops as well as server usage. Linux can be difficult at times to understand without researching it in detail, and learning its commands. Often this is achieved via different websites or even being taught by programming professionals.
A Linux consultant can help you take those first basic steps with Linux, troubleshoot or support your existing Linux server or enhance the performance of your Linux based PC.
What are the advantages to running Linux? Well, as any Linux consultant will tell you, here are the top three. Firstly, the operating system is free. Secondly, unlike Windows that seems to slow down every day that it’s used, Linux will remain as fast as the day that it was installed many years on. Lastly, Linux does not come packaged with backdoors, nor is it susceptible to viruses.
